The Energy Safety Awards comprises of the following categories:

Safety Representative of the Year - This award is to recognise an enthusiastic and committed Elected Safety Representative who has demonstrably influenced the safety agenda, culture and/or behaviours at their worksite

Wellbeing - This award is for the individual(s) or team who have actively engaged in improving their working environment and or company approach to employee wellbeing. Areas to consider in this category could be wellbeing linked to mental and or physical health.

Workforce Engagement - This award is for an individual(s) or team that has actively engaged with co-workers on safety matters, demonstrating how their engagement has contributed to improving the safety culture and/or performance at their worksite or employing company.

Major Hazard Awareness - This award is for an individual(s) or team who have positively influenced or improved a major accident hazard system in risk management, system efficiency, reliability, and/or operability through a modification and/or an innovative solution.

Sharing and Learning - This award is for the individual(s) or team who can demonstrate a practical example of how they actively collaborated, influenced or enhanced a learning and sharing culture within the area of Safety at their employing company, place of work or within OEUK and or Step Change in Safety.

Award for Aviation Safety - This award is for an individual(s) or team who have demonstrated a passion for safety, leads by example, and continuously strives for safe operations which has had a positive influence on the safety culture, behaviours and or performance in an aviation environment.

Award for Decommissioning Safety - This award is for an individual(s) or team who have demonstrated a passion for safety, leads by example, and continuously strives for safe operations which has had a positive influence on the safety culture, behaviours and or performance in the decommissioning environment.

Award for Site Leader - This award is to recognise an enthusiastic and committed Site Leader that has demonstrably influenced the safety agenda, culture and or behaviours at their site.
